HoW IT ALL STARTED

Formed in 2017 when Strathclyde University mates Grant Dryburgh and Daniel McLagan met up to jam when both moved back to Scotland after long times away, they decided to take the jam further and after writing a couple of songs the pair were lucky enough to pick up drummer Stephen Rankin after a chance meeting on a night out and bassist Michael Cartwright from the dark depths of social media to complete their line-up. With a year of gigs and 2 EPs under their belt, Rolland Square are kicking on to add to their ever growing repertoire of fresh, upbeat tunes with catchy melodies.

Highlights of 2019 include having their song “Fall Apart For Fun” played on This Morning on ITV and winning Stirling City Radio’s competition to open the Sruighlea Stirling Summer Festival which was headlined by Scottish Folk legend Dougie Maclean.
